Don Aureliano is a kind and humble man who has faced many challenges in life. After losing one of his legs due to illness, he was no longer able to work. Since then, he has lived through great hardship and scarcity, struggling to meet even his most basic needs.
With the help of a dedicated group of volunteers from Keypoint Church in Arkansas, Inspira Guate was able to bring hope and dignity back into his life. When the team first visited his home, the roof was completely rusted and full of leaks. During every rainfall, water would pour into his small one-room house, forcing him to sleep in a corner to stay dry.
Together, we helped remodel his home. The volunteers replaced his old, leaky roof and provided new furniture — including a bed, a dining table, chairs, and a wardrobe — along with essential household items like dishes and food supplies. We also installed an eco-friendly stove with a proper chimney and roof covering, allowing him to cook safely and comfortably.
Thanks to this support, Don Aureliano now has a safe and dignified place to live. The improvements have made an enormous difference, especially during Guatemala’s heavy rainy season. His story is a beautiful reminder of how compassion and teamwork can transform lives and bring light to those who need it most.
